About Castellón

Castellón (also known as Castellón de la Plana) is a nice, small city (180.000 inhabitants) on the Mediterranean coast of Spain, in between Barcelona and Valencia, easily connected with both cities by train, bus or road. A new, small airport easily connects the province with several international hubs.

Castellón is the capital of a small, charming province. Famous for its cuisine (the worldwide renown paella is a local specialty), it offers the visitor many interesting historical sites and beautiful natural landscapes: high mountains meet the Mediterranean Sea in Castellón. The Province of Castellón has eight natural parks, and it is the second most mountainous province of Spain with more spaces with this level of protection. Thanks to its privileged location next to the Mediterranean Sea, has, in its more than 120 kilometers of coastline, a wide variety of extraordinary beaches, awarded year after year with the Blue Flag granted by the European Union, guarantee that its waters are clean and that the services offered are of quality. This area is also famous by its music festivals (FIB) and interesting and amusing local festivities.

We look forward to welcoming you in Castellón.
